Community Connector

Make A Referral

We created this service to help our young women connect with the SAY Community and the wider community as part of the Move On process. Our Connector identifies and creates opportunities for young women to take action and create constructive change in their lives. This could involve help with applications to jobs or courses, help with budgeting, identifying volunteering opportunities and other ways to develop skills.

It consists of:

One-to-One Support

Practical support for young women to access employment, volunteering, skills development, education and training.

Community Education: Conversation Cafés

Young women relate their lived experience to Police, GPs, statutory services, etc, to raise awareness, dispel myths and improve the knowledge of the front-line service community.

Advisory Board

Ex-service users who ensure that those with lived experience of support have a say in the way that projects and services are delivered within the organisation.

Tenants Rep

To represent the views and voices of the young women currently in Accommodation.

Testimonial

“It has been inspirational to be able to think about what I want to do with my life. I might not know for sure but there are so many opportunities that I hadn't even thought about. It is exciting to think what my future could be”
